He was predeceased by: his son George H. Lanier Jr. He is survived by: his children, Dell Lanier and Renea Taylor (Ken); his grandchildren, James Lanier (Stefanie), Stephanie Lanier and Emily Whipple (Garrett); his great grandchildren, Scott, Tyler, Aaron, Bryan, Austin, Cameron, Maiah, Mckenna, Kaiden, Jase and Colton; and his great great grandchildren, Jaxon and Heather.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "building" fund at URBC, 2009 2nd Ave. S, Irondale, AL 35210.
