He is survived by: his wife Betty Byers; his son Freddie Byers; and his siblings, Joseph Dean Byers and Patricia Green. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (431 60th St N, Birmingham, AL 35212). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the North Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church (2830 19th St N, Hueytown, AL 35023).
