She was predeceased by: her husband David Lee Jackson, Jr.; and her daughters, Mable Jackson and LaKeisha Jackson Spencer. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Horton (Terry) and Felecia Hurst (Wayne); her sisters, Willa Dean Wright, Jeraldine Teague, Beverly Thomas and Ivy Jo Smith; and her grandchildren, Donald Prabatah, Chivar Jackson, Chivonne Capps, LaShanti Wilson, Chalece Dudley, Andre Jackson and Dominique Jackson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren children, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church (1300 24th St N, Birmingham, AL 35234). A burial was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 1:45 PM at the New Grace Hill Cemetery (1931 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211).
