With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elinor Ruth Ferguson of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on July 21, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbur Ferguson (Bill); her brother Robert Carson Rockett Jr. (Renie); and her parents, Robert Carson Rockett and Myrtus Rockett (Summerhill). She is survived by: her children, Linda Gray (Charles) and Robert Lawrence Ferguson (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Jennifer Cole (Jason) and Jeremy Gray (Holly); and her foster children, Victor Smith and Chris LaFerriere (Bob). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren—as well as a niece and 2 nephews.
