We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2021, at the age of 79, Eileen S. Griffin (Birmingham, Alabama), born in New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gustavo Schmidt and Mary Duane; her husband Wayne Griffin; her children, H. Lea Cockerham IV of Homewood, AL, Kristin V. Franco of Scottsdale, AZ, Kimberly T. Cockerham of Phoenix, AZ, David W. Griffin of Atlanta, GA and Mary Faith Martin of Greenville, SC; her brother Duane Schmidt of Birmingham, AL; and her nephew Michael Schmidt of Leeds, AL. She was also cherished by 18 grandchildren.
In lieu of floral gifts, the family requests that donations in honor of Eileen be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
