He was predeceased by: his mother Ida Griffith; his children, Edmond "Tyger" Griffith, III, Darnell Blankenship and Deatrice Blankenship; and his sister Jennifer Cunningham (Marvin).

He is survived by: his father Edmond Tyrone Griffith Sr..
