Ed Williams Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ed Williams of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Natchez, Mississippi, who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andree Benoist Williams (Benoist) and Rev. Roger Edward Williams Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Becky Williams; his daughter Abby Williams Murray (John); his grandchildren, Mallie Murray and Grant Murray; his siblings, Caroline Williams Polson, Mary Williams Prince (Mike), Mark Williams (Georgiana) and John Williams; his aunt Doris Ann Benoist; and his cousin Paul Benoist (Ginny). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, & cousins.

A donation of Ed's brain was made to the University of Miami Brain Endowment Bank, in hopes of providing a critical piece in the research to better the lives of Parkinson's patients. The family asks that donations be made in Ed's name to PD Fight Club at Juarez Boxing, 1630 Crestwood Boulevard, Irondale, AL 35210, so that this specialized program can continue to help give hope to the growing community of Parkinson's patients, helping improve their quality of life while research finds a cause and cure to end this disease forever.
