We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 97, Dorothy P Burnett of Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Grandjean Peuffier and Lily Sharpton Peuffier; her husband Julian Clifton Burnett; and her grandparents, Arthur Sharpton, Sally Sharpton, Benjamin Peuffier and Henrietta Peuffier.
She is survived by: her sons, Clifton Joseph Burnett of Greensboro, NC and Jeffrey Julian Burnett of Birmingham, AL.; and her caregivers, Doris Jackson, Deidra Smith and Lisa Yarbrough.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ridout's Valley Chapel (1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL 35209).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Brook Baptist Church, 3631 Montevallo Rd S, Birmingham, AL 35213.
