Donald Raymond Hassig Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2024, at the age of 90, Donald Raymond Hassig of Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cleveland Hassig and Lydia Froelich Hassig; his grandson Broughton Smith; and his siblings, Carl (Jeff), Ted, Paul, LeRoy, Arch, Art, Herman, Esther and Bertha.

He is survived by: his wife Lois St. John Hassig; his children, Amy Hassig Smith (Mark) and Brad Hassig (Lori); and his grandchildren, Harry, Camille, Lauren, Bridon and Christian.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions honoring the life of Donald Raymond Hassig be directed to a cause very dear to Don, the Jimmie Hale Mission located at 3420 2nd Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama 35222.
