He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew McDonald and Myrtle Holland Gaston. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Barnes-McDonald. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dante Jelks Funeral Home (4904 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35222). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (1708 Spencer Ave, Birmingham, AL 35214). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
