She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Malenfant and Joyce Malenfant; her sister Paula Huizar; and her nephew DJ Huizar. She is survived by: her significant other Lynn Wilson; her sisters, Lori Malenfant, Michele Rhines and Amy Malenfant; and her nieces and nephews, Mallory Rinaldi, Bailey Coats, Evan Malenfant, Fred Burney, Tina Malenfant, Michael Huizar, Aaron Huizar, Stephanie Huizar-Beckett and Evan Huizar.

“I interviewed, hired & worked with Deb at UAB Otolaryngology for the past 4 yrs. i was shocked to realize it was such a short time. i feel like i have known her my entire life. Deb is the most honest, unselfish, humble person i have ever met. The entire faculty & staff in our department are family to Deb. She greeted us every day with a contagious smile and attitude. She made everyone laugh & love coming to work. We miss her terribly, but she will forever be in our memories. Michelle Thrasher”
