He is survived by: his mother Frances Dean Blount; his siblings, Barbara Blount Viar (Bill), William Houston Blount, Jr. (Bill), Beverly Blount McNeil (John) and Frances Blount Kansteiner (Walter); his former wife Margaret Wiggins Blount; his sons, David Dean Blount, Jr. (Julie), Gerald Wiggins Blount and John Houston Blount (Isabella); and his grandchildren, Annie, Margaret, Frances and Houston.
