He is survived by: his daughter Taneshia Smith; his grandson Dirico Hawkins Jr.; his brother Karl Thomas of Birmingham, Alabama; his aunts and uncles, Joan Drayton, Kathleen Bunton, Patricia Moore, Deborah Crawford, Jessie Crawford (Josephine), Roger Crawford (Eardie Mae), Anthony Crawford, Gregory Crawford (Gloria) and Phillip Crawford; his nieces, Shemica Seay and Ashley Burks; and his great-nieces, Shamiya Seay and Zamoria Burks.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at 7600 Division Ave, Birmingham, AL 35206. A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211).
