Constance (Lewis) Nelson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Constance Nelson (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Kansas City, Kansas, the late Leon Lewis and
Mary Ella Lewis . She later relocated to Alabama where she was
educated through the Birmingham City School System. She was
known to family and friends as “Connie.”
Constance united in Holy Matrimony to William Nelson and to
this union welcome Seven Beautiful Children . Her children were
her pride and joy, the apple of her eye; nothing she wouldn’t do
for them.
Through life’s ups and downs Connie was not satisfied where
she was in life, she wanted a better life for she and her children,
so she became a certified nursing assistance, where she found so
much joy in caring for others in a way words could not explain.
Her spirituality was not where she needed it to be, so she
sought advice from her spiritual leaders on how to increase her
faith in God, she wanted to develop her faith to higher heights.
During her quest she attended New Hope Baptist Church under
the leadership of Pastor Lewis McCarter, she later joined First
Baptist Church of Penfield Park in Birmingham, Alabama under
the leadership of Pastor Robert Tartt there she rededicated to the Lord and Savior.
Connie passed away on July 21, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Constance Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
