He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Coy Kirkland and Inez Owens Kirkland; and his brother-in-law Winston McGill. He is survived by: his children, Terri and Lance; his sister Norma Kirkland McGill; and his nephews, Winston McGill, Jr. of Birmingham and Kirk McGill of Birmingham.
