She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harry William Hoile and Marietta Borden Hoile; her aunts, Clara Jean and Claire; her husband Sam Y. Caldwell, Jr.; her children, Samuel Y. Caldwell III (Cindy) of Huntsville, Alabama, Marietta Caldwell Williams (David) of Birmingham and Robert W. Caldwell of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Paul Benjamin Howard (Johanna Vandemoortele) of Belgium, Lindsay Angeline Howard Mandal (Jay) of Los Angeles and Lindsey Renee Williams Nenert (Rodolphe) of Birmingham; and her friend Mary Tom Stubbs. She was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
