It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Jean Caldwell of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harry William Hoile and Marietta Borden Hoile; her aunts, Clara Jean and Claire; her husband Sam Y. Caldwell, Jr.; her children, Samuel Y. Caldwell III (Cindy) of Huntsville, Alabama, Marietta Caldwell Williams (David) of Birmingham and Robert W. Caldwell of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Paul Benjamin Howard (Johanna Vandemoortele) of Belgium, Lindsay Angeline Howard Mandal (Jay) of Los Angeles and Lindsey Renee Williams Nenert (Rodolphe) of Birmingham; and her friend Mary Tom Stubbs. She was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
