He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles and Ethel; his brother Randy; his former wife Sonya McDonald Clark; his stepchild D'Anne; his wife Hope Kilgore of Vestavia Hills, AL.; his brother Kenneth (late Sonya); his granddaughter Chelsea; and his son Charles.

He died as a result of the covid virus.
