He was predeceased by: his parents, James Buford and Lena Mae Garmon Mason. He is survived by: his children, Brandon Mason and Shannon Mason Higginbotham (Robert); his sisters, Alice Faye Moore (Eddie) and Kathleen Mason; and his grandchildren, Alan Wingo, Cody Wingo, Jacob Wingo, Brandon Mason, Tristan Mason, Alexis Mason, Brooke Mason and Traysha Valentine (Jacob). He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
