With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Canning Jr. (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on October 31, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Morgan Canning; and his grandson Max Cannon Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Canning; his children, Charlee Mitchell Tiffany (Stephen) and Miga Batten (Todd); his grandchildren, Manning, Mae, Magnolia Mitchell, Olivia Ulbricht, Julia, Caleb and Logan Batten; his father Charles G. Canning Sr.; his aunts, Rose Ferrell and Sibyl Berg; his uncle John Canning (Connie); his sisters-in-law, Francis Hill and Christine Hill Cooper; and his pet Gus. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
