We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2024, at the age of 81, Carolyn Gahagan (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Memphis, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Carolyn leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Carolyn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Lockefer and Frank Lockefer. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Gahagan; and her children, Keith Ayers, Lisa Ayers, Wendy Kingsland (Tom) and Geri Lin Gahagan. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and various nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The American Heart Association, The Cancer Society or the Birmingham Humane Society.
