He is survived by: his mother Laura Edweena Hanby; his wife Mary Lilly Hanby; his siblings, John Joseph Hanby, Jr. (Donna) and Janet Smith (Mike); his children, Laurie Burns, Angie Morris (Robert), Tim Hanby and Jonathan Hanby (Leigh); his grandchildren, Blake Morris (Jessica), Jessie Morris, Connor Morris, Joey Burns, Jack Hanby, Eli Hanby and Jed Hanby; and his great grandchildren, Everly Morris and Rhett Morris. He is also survived by numerous cousins, family members, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
