With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy B. Copeland (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Bessemer, Alabama, who passed away on February 2, 2021 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Billy B. Copeland to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Copeland, Sr. and Ethel Rebecca Grimes Copeland; his wife Betty Duren Copeland; his brother Fred Copeland, Jr.; and his son Timothy Copeland.
He is survived by: his son Billy B. Copeland, Jr. (Janne Quinn Copeland); his grandchildren, Rebecca Quinn Copeland Fordham (Marc Fordham) and Bradley Copeland (Sarah Bigood); his great grandchild Patti Copeland; his grandson Matthew Copeland; his great grandchildren, Mac and Edy Anne Fordham; his sister Frances Copeland Thomas; and also Thomas Rabne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions and concern for all, a private graveside service of burial will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested that consideration be given for memorial gifts to Avondale United Methodist Church Capital Fund or Greater Birmingham Ministries, all in care of AUMC, 500 40th Street S, Birmingham, Al. 35222 Reverend Malinda Jowers Weaver Pastor Avondale United Methodist Church.
