She is survived by: her husband Howard Vernon Payton, Jr.; her daughter Paige Payton Stone (Doug) of Montgomery, AL; her granddaughters, Payton Stone Miller (Austin) of Pike Road, AL and Sydney Allison Stone of Birmingham, AL; and her sisters, Ina Ray Muncher and Janice S. Culver (Johnnie).
