With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Taggart Howe (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Vernon, Alabama, who passed away on May 5, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Howell Taggart and Floy Mitchell Taggart; her siblings, Miles Taggart, Mart Taggart, Tom Taggart, Doris Springfield and Lovey Taggart; and her former husband Dr. Robert E. Howe.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Ingram, Thomas Howe (Hope), Margaret Upton (Don), Beth Clark (Joseph) and Charles Howe; her pet Lucy; her grandchildren, Katherine Clark, Brantley Ingram, Joseph Clark, Grayson Ingram and Stonewall Ingram; and her great grandchild Owen Clark.
