She was predeceased by: her brother Hillard Ware, Jr. (Geraldine); and her granddaughter Laura Spencer. She is survived by: her children, Jorita Blackmon (Forrest), Bernard D. Spencer (Amanda "Liz") and Kevin Lovell Spencer; her aunt Chrystbaell Ware Friar; her close friends, Essie Johnson and Bertha Oliver; her grandchildren, Consuela Spencer, Robert Spencer (Norvona), Erica Banijami (Saed), Elisheba Spencer, Raven Blackmon, Kimber Rochester (Dorien), Kevin Spencer (Jordyn) and Keisha Pardon; and her son Tommy Avery. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a veritable host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
