She is survived by: her children, Carol Moore (Jeff) of Six Mile, SC, Randy Sturgeon (Audrey) of Springfield, PA and Richard Sturgeon (Jill) of Vestavia Hills, AL; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Moore, Charlie Moore, Elizabeth Sturgeon, Courtney Ross (Xavien), Ashley Sturgeon and Connor Sturgeon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Independent Presbyterian Church, the UAB Hospital Auxiliary, or the Alzheimer's Association.
