It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annette C. Butero of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Frances and Charles Vincent Cataldo; her husband Benedict M. Butero; her siblings, Elaine (John Mack) and Charles Cataldo; and her sister-in-law Lucy Manfredonia.

She is survived by: her daughters, Rose Ann Butero-Morrow (Jeff) and Maria Butero Jones (Bill); her grandchildren, Michael Salvatore Jones and Christina Ann Jones; her great grandchild Dillon Benedict Jones; and her sister Rosalee "Tootsie" Salvago. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in her name.
