She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Whitfield and Clifford Whitfield; her grandparents, Essie Frances and Stephen Luther Tolleson; and her daughter Cheryl Anne McVea.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Leah Roper (Tim) and Susan Elizabeth Schor (Mike); and her grandchildren, Sean Michael McVea, Summer Anne Schor, John Michael Schor III, Susanna Joy Schor and Matthew Josiah Schor.
