With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna Merle Hendon (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on March 21, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Geanie McLellan Smith and Dave Smith; her husband Bill Hendon; her brother James "Doc"; and her sister-in-law Nancy Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Hendon Welch; and her great grandchildren, Megan, Halle, Griffin, Nikola, Natalia, Lizzy, Michael and Zach. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews with many cousins.
