He is survived by: his wife Donna C Shannon; his children, Nancy Carter, Amanda Scott (Dennis) and Larry "Gene" Shannon, Jr. (Jessica); and his sisters, Kathy Pickle, Barbara Layton (Earl) and Sheila Allphin (Richard). He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren.
