He was predeceased by: his daughter Felicia Hoots; and his parents, James Ray and Agnes Ray. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Ray of Billingsley; his children, Sharette Ray Bruner (Darryl) of Millbrook, Steve Bryson (Ellen) of Deatsville, Vickie Chandler (Randy) of Billingsley, Brad Wright (Rae Ann) of Verbena and David Gilliland (Julie) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Byron Bruner, Ethan Burner (Amanda), Dylan Bruner, Nicholas Hoots, Nicole Hoots, Ashley Gilliland, Rebecca Gilliland, Emma Chandler, Natalie Wright, Sophie Wright, Landon Bryson, Jackson Bryson and Camden Bryson; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Ray Bruner, Jr., Raylee Hoots and River Hoots.
