She was predeceased by: her mother Robin Ruth King Burton; and her brother B. Jay Burton. She is survived by: her father Gil Wayne Burton of Sunray, TX; her sister Amy Burton of Sunray, TX; her husband James Payton of Billingsley; and her nephews, Shawn Burton of Foley, Michael Diehl of Oklahoma and Daniel Diehl of Oklahoma.
