She was predeceased by: her parents, Milas Buford and Mary Buford; her husband Gardner Shelby Maples; and her siblings, Milas "Bo" Buford Jr., John Earl "Bill" Buford, James Samuel Buford, Emma Catherine "Toots" Buford, Nellie Jo Smith and Sallie Buford Adams.
She is survived by: her daughter Marjorie Maples Collins (Cary Collins) of Huntsville; her grandson Shaun Collins (Leslie Thomas Collins) of Huntsville; and her great grandchild Ruby Grace Collins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
