With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Willine Overstreet McDonald (Bessemer, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her husband James McDonald Sr.; and her parents, Condy Overstreet and Willie Jeanette Overstreet. She is survived by: her children, James McDonald Jr., Sandra Shew (Bill) and Brenda Baswell (Lynn); her grandchildren, Brian, Jon, Brad Shew, Eric Baswell (Jeanne), Jeremy Baswell (Jennifer) and Ashley Driver (Chris); her great grandchildren, Baker, Ellen, Kendall, Jacklyn Baswell, Wyatt and Carson Driver; and her brother Ronnie Overstreet (Deanna).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Highland Memorial Gardens (3115 18th Ave, Bessemer, AL 35020).
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the St. Jude's Hospital.
