He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruel Salter and Madge Riley Salter; his son Randy Headley; and his siblings, Sam Salter (Loedith) and Nell Kinnamon (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Salter; his children, Mark Salter (Joan), Sheree Salter (Anton Bonte), Pam Headley and Anita Farley (Brian); and his sister Rebecca Hope (Julius). He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
