It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Reece Fletcher (Bessemer, Alabama), who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Tommy Reece may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Bennett Fletcher and Dorothy Irene Huffine Fletcher. He is survived by: his sister Wilma Stanley; his sons, Cameron Thomas Fletcher and Thomas Loyd Fletcher; his significant other Sandy Elizabeth Hitt Fletcher; and his grandsons, Jaxon Ty Fletcher (Cameron) and Theodore Reece Fletcher (Thomas).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tannehill Valley Baptist Church (12858 Tannehill Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
