He was predeceased by: his former wife Brenda Watson Blackerby; his son Rodney David Blackerby; his parents, Glendon Hugh and Ida Mae Blackerby; his brothers, Conrad and Gary Blackerby; and his sister-in-law Jo Blackerby.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Mitcham Blackerby; his daughters, Sherri Sparks, Lisa Wells (Jim) and Nita Sherer; his sister Glenda Smith; his sister-in-law Barbara Blackerby; his aunt Kathryn; and his stepsons, Bryan and Brent Mitcham (Leigh). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
