It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard H. Smith (Bessemer, Alabama), who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hobson Smith Sr. and Louise King Smith; his sister Carol Bergman; his son Brian Smith; and his stepson Shane Black.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Smith; his daughters, Melanie Paone (Tommy), Michelle Jackson (Thomas) and Melissa Warhurst; and his brother Ray Smith (Judy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
