He was predeceased by: his daughter Charlotte Sheppard; his parents, Lillie Sheppard and James Charles Sheppard; his sister Lilian; his brother-in-law Tommy Howard; his siblings, Jimmy and Betsy; and his brother-in-law Junior Matthews.
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Wayne Sheppard Jr. and Malcom Jeffrey Sheppard; his grandchildren, Joshua Wayne Sheppard, Grace Sheppard and Dori Hembree; his great grandchild Joseph Wayne Sheppard; and his sisters, Janis Autry and Mary Ruth Wright.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Morgan United Methodist Church (2701 Morgan Rd, Bessemer, AL 35022). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Providence Cemetery.
