He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel L. Miree and Adell Oakes Miree; his wife Mary L. Miree; his brother Theodore R. Miree; his sister-in-law Betsy; and his sisters, Sarah E. Miree and Annie M. Shaw.
He is survived by: his stepson Curtis Gatewood; his brother Chester Oakes; his goddaughter Rena Lucas; and his niece Christine Ross.
