He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Baswell; his wife Sharon Johnson Baswell; his son Douglas Baswell (Lisa); his mother Edith Walker Baswell; and his siblings, H. W. Baswell, Jack Baswell, Ikie Baswell, Earl Baswell, Julian Baswell, Barbara Fleming, Wilma Hinton and Tommy Baswell.
He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Baswell McNair (Wade); and his grandchildren, Jessica Vines, Brittnie McNair, Luke Baswell, Kortnie Reagan and Sammie Morris. He is also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
