He was predeceased by: his son Peyton Thompson; his brother Erskine "Hershel" Thompson, Jr.; and his father Erskine H. Thompson, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Wilma Fancher Thompson; and his brother Haschal Thompson (Renée) of McCalla.
