He was predeceased by: his parents, Will H. Moon and Betty Moon; and his grandparents, John Peter, Jennie Moon, Ben D. Coates and Mittie Coates.
He is survived by: his wife Sue H. Moon of Berry; his sons, David A. Moon of Lexington, KY and Phillip M. Moon (Rachel) of Auburn; his sisters, Ann Zezenski (Fred) and Donna Strunk; and his grandchildren, Meredith L. Moon, Tyler D. Moon and Noah J. Moon.
