She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Joe Simmons; her parents, Grady Earnest and Gertrude Earnest; and her grandson Chris Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Simmons of Berry, AL, Sarah Anderson of Northport, AL, Donna Simmons (Lee) of Northport, AL, Mike Simmons (Cindy) of Berry, AL and Don Simmons (Jackie) of Bankston. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, and twenty-seven great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Norwood-Wyatt Chapel. A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
