He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hassel and Anna Mabel Murphy; and his siblings, Charles Lloyd Murphy, Theresa Mary Murphy and Raymond Anthony Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah A. Murphy; and his siblings, James Patrick Murphy (Adelaide), Jean Elizabeth Krause (Keith) and Mary Christine Murphy Gill (Geoffrey).
