He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Files and Clara Bell Files; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Files. He is survived by: his wife Mavis Files; his son John Edward; his sister Agnes Louise Lollar; and his great great grandchild Autumn Rose. He is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
