He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hancock and Ila Bennett; his children, Shannon Christian and Jerry Hancock; and his grandson Kelly Hancock.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Lorene Hancock; his children, Jewel Mae Thacker and Charles Ronald Hancock (Sue); his brother Charles Ray Segrest (Evelyn); and his grandchildren, Karen Vice, Robin Gray, Christina Brasher, Tonya Milligan and Tammie Nabors. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, and 24 great great-grandchildren.
