It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thacker of Berry, Alabama, who passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Thacker and Martie Thacker; his son Joel Thacker; his brother Charles Thacker; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Bircheat, R. D. Swindle and Earl Pinion.
He is survived by: his wife Syble Pinion Thacker of Berry, AL; his daughter-in-law Mary Thacker Plunk (Kevin) of Adamsville, TN; his son Phillip "Squirrel" Thacker (Carolyn) of Oakman, AL; his sisters, Carol Cook (Terry) of Tuscaloosa Al and Lorene Bircheat of Northport, AL; his sisters-in-law, Gaynell Thacker of Berry, AL and Sue Swindle of Fayette, AL; his brother David Thacker (Bonnie) of Northport, AL; his grandchildren, Beau Earnest of Berry, AL and Jesse Thacker (Kelcey) of Adamsville, TN; and his great grandchildren, Ella Grace, Huston Thacker, Logan Earnest, Lucas Earnest and Lexa Earnest. He is also survived by his family and friends.
