He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Kimbrell and Della Kimbrell; his wife Frances Gray Kimbrell; his siblings, Arnold Kimbrell, Orville Kimbrell, Calvin Kimbrell, Lila Downey and Joyce Kajula; his daughter Melba Johnson; and his great grandchild Dameon Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, James Ronald Kimbrell (Rita) and Jackie Banks (Bruce); and his siblings, Bobby Kimbrell (Judy), Carmel Lynn Kimbrell and Martha Mavis Files (John Henry). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
