He was predeceased by: his parents, King David and Evalene Kilpatrick Smith; and his brother Richard Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Smith of Berry; his children, David Smith (Amy) of Berry, Michell Busbee (Chris) of Berry and Miranda Andrews (Terrance) of Decatur; and his siblings, William Smith (Linn) of Parrish and Sherry Smith of Parrish. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
